The Jammu and Kashmir government has issued a formal order to close the private coaching centers in Kashmir division.

The verbal orders in this regard were issued a couple of days before. The private tuition centers of Kashmir valley have been closed for a period of 90 days however the order says that the order will be reviewed after every 15 days. The order says that a meeting was held on April 10, 2018 under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Kashmir.

“The law enforcement agencies during the meeting informed that due to frequent violation of norms/ regulations and allowing students to gather outside tuition centers, which apart from causing grave law and order problem, creates every likelyhood of threat of life and security of such students and general public as well,” the government order said. According to the order another meeting was conducted on April 22 in which the decision to “temporarily” close the tuition centers was taken.
